The Babolat Counter Origin is Babolat's entry point to padel — a round, control-first racket built for players picking up a padel bat for the first time.Babolat gives it a round head with what they call an oversize sweetspot, which is the single most useful thing a first racket can have: off-centre hits still go roughly where you meant them to. The frame is hybrid — carbon for stiffness and light weight, fibreglass for flex — over a fibreglass hitting surface and an EVA core. Balance sits at 260mm, low in the handle, so the racket feels light and stays easy to swing when you are late on a ball.
