Babolat padel rackets: which one is right for you?

Babolat has been making racket sports equipment since 1875. We stock a small, hand-picked selection rather than the full catalogue, each one chosen for a specific type of player and price point.

• You're starting out: the Counter Origin 2025 (€89.95) is a round, forgiving frame and one of our two usual recommendations for a first racket. It also comes boxed with balls, grips and a protector in our Babolat Starter Kit.
• You're improving and want more power: the Technical Vertuo 2.5 2025 (€139.95) is a diamond with more weight towards the head, for improving players who want extra pace and a racket to grow into.
• You want a step-up control racket: the Counter Vertuo 2.6 2026 (€169.95) is a round frame for intermediate players who want control and comfort with a more premium build.

Babolat padel racket FAQs

What do Counter and Technical mean? In Babolat's range, Counter frames are round and control-focused, and Technical frames are built for more power. Origin is the entry level, and Vertuo sits above it.

Is the Counter Origin a good first racket? Yes. It's round, light enough to learn with and easy on the arm, and it costs less than a year of €5 racket hire.
