Padel balls: which tube to buy
Four pressurised match balls from the brands you'll see on Irish club courts. The honest truth is that the differences between them are smaller than the difference between a fresh tube and a dead one, so the best ball is usually the one you replace often enough.
- Wilson Premier Padel (€8.95): Wilson's Premier Padel-branded match ball, with a consistent, lively bounce.
- HEAD Padel Pro S+ (€8.95): HEAD's firmer, faster competition ball, used as the official ball at Premier Padel events including the 2026 Gijón P2.
- adidas Speed RX (€7.95): a quick all-rounder with a hard-wearing felt. Good value for regular social games.
- Bullpadel Premium Pro (€7.95): dependable and well priced, the ball to keep a few tubes of in the bag.

Padel ball FAQs
How long do padel balls last? Once a tube is opened the balls start losing pressure. For competitive games, expect two or three matches before the bounce noticeably drops; for social play, a few more. Cold Irish evenings and outdoor courts make a tired ball feel deader still. If rallies start dying at the back glass, it's time for a new tube.
Can I use tennis balls for padel? It's not a good idea. Padel balls run at lower pressure, so they bounce lower and play properly off the glass. A tennis ball bounces too high and changes how the game plays.
How many balls come in a tube? Three. Most groups open a fresh tube at the start of a match.
Do clubs supply balls? Some do, many charge for them, and the club tube is often half dead. Bringing your own fresh tube is the cheapest upgrade in padel.
Delivery is free on orders over €75, so balls are best added to a racket or kit order. Shipped from Waterford in 1–3 working days. Buying your first racket? A starter kit includes balls, or browse our full range of padel rackets.
