LACEXPro is a shoelace with a silicone grip coating along its length. The point is simple: the knot holds. Standard laces loosen as the shoe flexes, and on a padel court that means either a mid-rally stop to retie or a shoe that is a touch looser in the third set than it was in the first. The silicone surface grips itself at the knot and grips the eyelets along the way, so the tension you set is the tension you keep.
GEARXPro call the silicone structure the XPro Cage, and the practical upshot is that you can make small adjustments to how tight each section of the lace is and it stays that way. The surface is water-repellent, which matters more on an outdoor court in Ireland than it does in Milan.
