The SOXPro Padel is a grip sock built for one job: stopping your foot sliding around inside your shoe when you brake, push off and change direction. Padel is a sport of short lateral steps and sudden stops, and the bit of movement most players never think about is the millimetre or two between sock and insole. Why we stock it, in one number. A 2022 study in the Journal of Sports Sciences measured the static friction between foot and shoe with and without grip socks: 1.17 against 0.60 — roughly double. The same study recorded less foot displacement inside the shoe during changes of direction, with the biggest difference at the sharpest turns, and faster slalom times. That is the whole claim. We are not going to tell you a sock prevents injuries, because nobody has shown that. We will tell you it measurably stops your foot moving inside the shoe, and if you play padel you already know why that matters.
