The Bullpadel Icon 2025 is the racket Juan Martín Díaz puts his name to — the player most of the padel world simply calls the greatest of all time. It is a full-fat professional diamond: 370–375g, a high balance of around 26cm, a 38mm profile, and an X-Tend Carbon 12K face over a MultiEVA core in a 100% carbon frame. Last season's model now sells at €134.95 against an RRP of €272.99, which makes it one of the most serious attacking frames available in Ireland for under €150. It is also, unambiguously, a racket for strong and technically sound players.

These are our own editorial ratings based on the manufacturer's published specifications and how this racket is positioned — not third-party test data. Below them, for transparency, we also reproduce Bullpadel's own published ratings for the frame, which are manufacturer figures rather than independent testing.
What stands out
Torsion Concept. This is the headline feature of the Icon. Bullpadel build a 25° structural twist into the arms of the frame, and state that it optimises energy transfer for topspin from the back of the court while still allowing drop shots and slice at the net. In other words, it is engineered around the modern attacking baseline game rather than pure flat hitting.
The face and core combination. An X-Tend Carbon 12K face, biaxially interlaced, sitting over a MultiEVA core in a 100% carbon Carbon Tube frame. That is a premium materials specification, and it is the reason the Icon originally carried a €272.99 RRP.
Comfort technology on an aggressive frame. Ease Vibe, Vibradrive and the Hesacore grip system are all present. On a 375g diamond, that matters — these are the features that make a stiff, heavy, high-balance racket usable for a full match rather than three games.
Custom Weight. Bullpadel's system for adding weight lets you fine-tune the balance yourself, which is genuinely useful on a frame with this much character.
Where it falls short
Control is the compromise. Bullpadel's own published control figure of 2.5/5 is the lowest of the five metrics they list. That is not a defect; it is the deliberate trade a diamond makes. But it means the Icon rewards a clean, committed swing and punishes a tentative one.
The physical demand is real. 370–375g at roughly 26cm balance puts a lot of mass out towards the head. Over a long match, or on a cold evening, that load lands on your shoulder and elbow. If you have any history of arm trouble, this is not the frame to experiment with.
The sweet spot is small and high. At 3/5 by Bullpadel's own reckoning and with a 535cm² surface arranged in a diamond, the forgiving zone sits well up the face. Catch the ball low and you will feel it.
It is last season's model. That is the whole point of the price, but it does mean limited stock and fewer options than a current-year release.
Irish conditions
Most competitive padel in Ireland is played indoors, at heated club venues in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Belfast — and that suits the Icon well. A stiff 100% carbon diamond is at its best in stable, warmer conditions where the ball is lively and you can trust the bounce.
Outdoors in an Irish winter is a different matter. Cold air makes balls slower and heavier, and it makes stiff carbon frames feel harsher through the hand. The Ease Vibe and Vibradrive systems help, and the Hesacore grip spreads load across the palm rather than concentrating it, but you should still warm up properly and consider an overgrip with a bit of cushioning. If you play mostly outdoors in the winter months, a softer frame will treat your arm better.

The obvious comparison, and the honest answer is that the 2025 is the value play. The 2026 Icon is the current-season release at €229.95; the 2025 is €134.95. The bottom line
The Bullpadel Icon 2025 is a serious racket sold at an unserious price. Nothing about the specification has been softened for the discount — it is still a 370–375g, 38mm, high-balance diamond with an X-Tend Carbon 12K face, a MultiEVA core and a 100% carbon frame, built around Torsion Concept for topspin. The only thing that has changed since launch is the year on the box and the €138 off the RRP.
That makes it a genuinely easy recommendation, with one clear condition: you need to be the player this racket was designed for. Advanced, physically strong, technically clean, playing an attacking game. If that is you, this is the best value in professional diamonds we sell.
