Where to Play Padel in Kilkenny

Kilkenny's padel scene is in its early days, but there's a strong foundation to build on and plenty of excitement about what's coming. The Marble City currently has one court at the local tennis club, but with two major developments in the works — including a four-court indoor facility at Gowran Park — Kilkenny is set to become a serious player on the padel map. A major new six-court facility at Cillin Hill is also on the way.

Kilkenny County & City Lawn Tennis Club was the first to bring padel to the county, adding a court that's proved popular with members and visitors. It's a great introduction to the sport in a welcoming club setting. But it's the coming soon venues that have people really talking. Arena Padel at Gowran Park is planning a four-court indoor facility — the kind of venue that could put Kilkenny on the padel map for the entire southeast. And three outdoor courts are planned for Staplestown Road, adding more capacity in the city itself.

A brand-new purpose-built padel facility is coming to Cillin Hill in Kilkenny. Padel Hub Kilkenny will feature six courts — four indoor and two outdoor — making it a serious all-weather destination for the sport in the southeast.
