Social Padel Events in Dublin, Cork & Limerick: October–November 2026

Checked 2 October 2026

Every dated event below was re-checked against its own booking page on 2 October. Prices and places change, and some sessions fill early, so open the booking link before you travel or pay. Openplay does not run any of these events.

You don't need to be chasing a national title to enjoy some competition on a padel court. A social Americano usually means booking one place, meeting your playing partners when you arrive and spending around 90 minutes rotating through short games. At some sessions there's coffee, pizza or tea and cake afterwards.

What matters is which event suits you. Some welcome a broad range of players, while others are limited to a particular playing level. Some include a racket in the price, while others only have rackets to hire for an extra charge. The word "social" in an event title doesn't tell you any of that.

We went through public club pages and individual booking listings in Dublin, Cork and Limerick. These are the strongest options we found for October and November 2026. We've kept three things clearly apart: dated bookings you can enter today, recurring programmes where you still need to check your date, and events that need confirming with the organiser. This is a researched selection, not a complete list of everything on in the three counties. All times are Irish time.

At a glance

  • Cheapest way in: €10 Americanos at Druid Padel Kimmage (Dublin 12), where you enter on your own.
  • Coffee after the game: House of Padel's Monday Mixer Coffee (Dublin 24), €10.
  • A night out: House of Padel's Friday Pizza & Padel, €21 with pizza and a 0.0 beer included.
  • Racket included, complete beginners: Padel & Pines women's beginner social in Kilternan on 7 October (€15), and Padel Tennis Ireland's Cork socials (€25, equipment, tea or coffee and treats included).
  • A bigger competition: the Irish Padel Tour stop at The Hive in Cork has beginner categories, but its date needs confirming. See below.
  • Limerick: we couldn't verify a dated October–November tournament, so we explain how to find a game instead.

Dublin: book one place and join the games

Druid Padel Kimmage: a €10 way into friendly competition

€10Solo entryLevels 0–7Wednesdays 10amRacket hire extra

What it is: the Wednesday Americano is one of the clearest starting points in this guide. The club's own description presents it as a way for beginners to get match experience. Partners change between rounds and each player builds an individual points total, so you can play competitive games without a fixed doubles partner.

When and how much: Wednesdays from 10 to 11.30am, €10 per registration, individual entry. The listed level range is 0–7. That wide range means you should still ask the club what mix to expect if you've never played; it doesn't promise that everyone on court will be at your level.

Dates (each links to its own booking): 7 Oct · 14 Oct · 21 Oct · 28 Oct · 4 Nov · 11 Nov · 18 Nov · 25 Nov. Registration closes at 9am on the day, but sessions can fill before that.

Other times at Kimmage:

  • Tuesday 6 October, 7–8.30am, €10, individual entry, levels 0–7 (book). This one was already filling when we checked.
  • Thursday 8 October, 12.30–2pm lunchtime Americano, €10, levels 0–7 (book).
  • Monday lunchtime Americanos on 12 and 19 October, noon–1.30pm, €10. These are limited to levels 0.5–2, so they suit players who've had a few games rather than complete first-timers.

Equipment and refreshments: the venue is BD Gyms Carlisle, 52–54 Kimmage Road West, Dublin 12 (D12 X379). The club offers equipment rental and has a café, but the €10 listings don't say that a racket or drinks are included. Check with the club if you need either. You don't need to buy a racket just to try your first social.

Turning up without a racket?

Most of these clubs hire rackets, but if you think you'll keep going, a kit gets you everything at once.

Druid Padel Coolmine: Sunday women's socials and Thursday evening Americanos

€15 Sun / €16 ThuSolo entryLevels 0–7Women-only on Sundays

What it is: a Sunday morning women's Social Americano, 9–10.30am, €15, individual entry, levels 0–7. It's a good fit if a weekend morning suits you better than a weekday. If you're completely new to padel, ask the organiser whether it's suitable.

Sunday dates: 11 Oct · 18 Oct · 25 Oct · 1 Nov · 8 Nov · 15 Nov · 22 Nov · 29 Nov. The 4 October session was already full when we checked. Each date is its own booking listing; we haven't assumed any weekly pattern beyond those. Registration closes at 8am on the day, if places remain.

Thursday evenings: Social Americanos from 6.30 to 8pm at €16, individual entry, levels 0–7, on 15 Oct · 22 Oct · 29 Oct · 5 Nov · 12 Nov · 19 Nov · 26 Nov. The club also lists early Tuesday-morning Americanos at 7am for €10.

Equipment and refreshments: the venue lists equipment rental, but the event listings don't say a racket is included. Check the racket charge, and whether balls are supplied, before booking. The club's booking profile describes coffee and pastries as "coming soon", so don't count on a coffee stop. The club is at Coolmine RFC, 6 River Road, Ashtown, Dublin 15.

House of Padel, Tallaght: lunchtime coffee or a Friday pizza social

€10 coffee mixer€21 pizza + 0.0 beerSolo entryRacket hire extra

If the chat after the game is part of the appeal, House of Padel at 5 Old Belgard Road, Dublin 24 (D24 WD00) has two particularly useful options. You can read more about the venue in our House of Padel guide.

Indoor padel courts and lounge area at House of Padel, Old Belgard Road, Dublin 24

Monday Mixer Coffee: noon–1.30pm, €10, individual entry, rotating partners and opponents, with free coffee afterwards according to the listing. It's limited to levels 0.5–3, so it suits someone who has played a little more than a complete first-timer. Bookable dates are 12 Oct · 19 Oct · 26 Oct. The 5 October session was full when we checked. Registration closes at 11am on the day, unless it fills sooner.

Friday Pizza & Padel: a different kind of evening out. You get 90 minutes of social games with rotating partners, then pizza and a 0.0 beer, both listed as included. It starts at 7pm and costs €21. The listing says "come solo – we'll organise the games", and the level range is 0–7. Dates: 16 Oct · 23 Oct · 30 Oct · 6 Nov · 13 Nov. Booking closes at 6pm on the day. The listings don't mention dietary options or a minimum age, so ask the club about either.

Equipment: House of Padel offers equipment rental, but neither ticket says a racket is included. Bring your own if you have one, or arrange rental when you book. Contact: info@houseofpadel.co.

Padel & Pines, Kilternan: a women's beginner round-robin with rackets included

€15Rackets includedBeginners 0–1.8Outdoor courtCheck non-member access

What it is: a women's beginner social on Wednesday 7 October, 8–10pm, €15, for levels 0–1.8. The listing says partners rotate in a friendly round-robin, no partner is needed and rental rackets are included. That makes it a good option for someone who wants a clearly beginner session without buying equipment first. It's listed as a public class rather than a tournament. Registration closes at 7pm.

Where: Ballybetagh Wood, Kilternan, Dublin 18 (D18 AC64), on an outdoor court. Refreshments aren't listed as included.

Check before booking: the venue's website says non-members can book courts, but its Playtomic profile describes a private members' club. Confirm with hello@padelandpines.com that non-members can enter this particular social. Beginner socials are also listed on Fridays 9, 16 and 23 October, 7–9pm, €15. Those listings show levels 0–7 and don't confirm that rackets are included or say how partners are arranged, so don't assume they match the Wednesday session.

Cork: an inclusive mini-tournament, plus a larger event to check

Padel Tennis Ireland, Carrigtwohill: play, meet a partner, have a coffee

€25Equipment includedTea/coffee includedPartner assigned16+

What it is: Padel Tennis Ireland's social padel is about the most straightforward first visit in this guide. Each two-hour session starts with an explanation of the rules and then runs a mini match-style tournament. You're paired with someone on the day, so you don't need to bring a partner.

When and how much: the club publishes two sessions a week, Wednesday 10am–noon and Sunday 3–5pm. The price is €25 per person, including all equipment, tea or coffee and sweet treats. Entry is for ages 16 and over, and each event is limited to 32 registered players. The club suggests gym gear and runners (tennis shoes if you have them).

How to book: through the Padel Tennis Ireland app. The venue is Unit A2A, Fota Junction Retail Park, Carrigtwohill (T45 FE81). More on the venue in our Padel Tennis Ireland Carrigtwohill guide.

Limitation: this is a published weekly timetable, not a list of dated bookings. We couldn't publicly verify individual October or November sessions, including any changes around the bank holiday. Check your date in the app, or email info@padeltennisireland.ie, before travelling. The timetable doesn't guarantee a place on any particular day.

The Hive, Ballintemple: beginner categories at an Irish Padel Tour event, but the date needs confirming

Date unconfirmedBeginner to open categoriesFee basis unclearGraded competition

What it is: for players who want a larger competition, the Irish Padel Tour stop at The Hive on Monahan Road, Ballintemple, is worth a look. The tour's live entry page is titled "CUPRA IPT – The Hive Padel" and shows 17–18 October 2026, with registration closing on 11 October. It lists men's and women's beginner and intermediate categories alongside open categories and mixed doubles.

Why we can't confirm the date: when we re-checked on 2 October, the tour's own calendar still showed two separate entries. The 17–18 October slot was labelled "Coming soon…" without a venue, and its link leads to the entry page above that now names The Hive. Further down, a separate entry named The Hive Padel was listed for 7–8 November. We don't yet know whether the event moved to October or whether these are two separate plans. We've asked the organisers and will update this guide when they reply. Until then, confirm the date with padel@hivelife.ie or info@irishpadeltour.ie before making any plans.

Price: the entry page shows €35 against a single registration, but it doesn't make clear whether that is per player or per pair. So we're not quoting a final entry fee. Ask about the total for your category, whether you need to bring a partner, any age or licence requirements, and the playing schedule.

Who it suits: players who already play regularly and want a graded competition. A beginner category at a tour event is still a competition; it's not an introductory coaching session.

Equipment and refreshments: The Hive advertises racket hire at €5 for ordinary court bookings, but equipment and refreshments for the tournament aren't confirmed. Our Hive Padel Cork guide has more on the venue.

Limerick: how to find your next social game

We found active ways into social play in Limerick, but couldn't verify a dated amateur tournament for October or November from the public pages we checked. That doesn't mean none is running: club apps can carry activities that don't appear on public pages. We've asked both clubs below for their confirmed autumn dates and will add any that come back.

Padel LK, Ballysimon: use the app's Play! feature

Open matches in appNo dated tournament foundRacket hire €5

Padel LK, at Unit 6, Delta Retail Park, Ballysimon (V94 368A), launched an open-match feature called Play! in its app on 1 September. You can create a match or join one that's already forming, and check the level and format before you sign up. It's a practical way to find people to play with, but an open match isn't an organised tournament.

The club's public tournament page showed no events when we checked on 2 October. Its recent news covers past events, such as the 19 September Pilates and padel social, and we haven't listed those as upcoming. Ask hello@padellk.ie for the next beginner Americano, mixed social or coffee session, and for a direct booking link.

For ordinary bookings, the club lists racket rental at €5 and a three-ball pack at €10. That isn't a social-event package price. If a future event includes equipment, its own listing should say so. There's a café on site, but only count on food, drinks or the recovery suite being included if an event says so. More in our Padel LK guide.

Padel Tennis Ireland at Garryowen

Socials advertisedNo public timetable yet

Padel Tennis Ireland's social padel page says Limerick socials started in August 2026, but it doesn't publish a local day, time or price. Contact limerick@padeltennisireland.ie for the next confirmed date at Garryowen FC, Dooradoyle Road (V94 FW62). Ask for the Limerick price, what's included and who can enter, rather than assuming the Cork timetable applies.

How to choose your first event

Check the level before the headline. A listing marked "Open" can still have a restricted level range, so it doesn't mean a complete beginner can join. A beginner session that starts by explaining the rules is a very different experience from a graded amateur tournament. If you're unsure, our beginner's guide and padel rules guide cover the basics.

Look for individual registration. It means you don't need to organise a doubles partner in advance. Many of the Dublin Americanos above take single entries even though the matches are doubles. Where a listing allows single or pair registration, check how payment works and how partners are assigned.

Separate rental availability from rental inclusion. A club can have rackets for hire without including one in your ticket. Padel Tennis Ireland's Cork social includes equipment, and the 7 October Padel & Pines session includes rental rackets. For the other events, check before you arrive without your own.

Book before the deadline, and check again before you leave. A published cutoff is the last advertised time to enter; it doesn't mean places are still available. Organisers may also need a minimum number of players. Bring comfortable sports clothing, suitable court shoes (see our padel shoes guide), water and your booking confirmation. Ask the club about its footwear rules, accessibility and any equipment you need to reserve.

Grip on court

Many first-timers turn up in running shoes. Grip socks help you stay stable on the turf.

When you're ready for your own racket

Choose the right event first. The right level and a welcoming format matter more than owning equipment before you know what you enjoy. If a few sessions in you're hooked and tired of hiring, our guide to choosing a padel racket explains shape, weight and balance without the jargon. The best padel rackets for beginners narrows it down further.

When you're ready to buy, you can browse our padel rackets. If you want everything in one box, our padel starter kits include a racket, balls, grips and a frame protector. Everything ships from Waterford.

Still waiting on organisers

  • The Hive / Irish Padel Tour: whether the event is on 17–18 October or 7–8 November (or both), whether the fee is per player or per pair, partner, age and licence requirements, and what's included.
  • Padel Tennis Ireland Cork: exact October–November sessions and any holiday changes.
  • Padel LK and Padel Tennis Ireland Limerick: any confirmed social or tournament dates up to 30 November.
