NOX padel rackets: which one is right for you?

NOX is the Spanish brand behind Agustín Tapia's AT10, one of the most recognisable rackets on the tour. What sets the range apart is the shape: NOX builds mostly teardrops and rounds rather than out-and-out diamonds, so even its tour frames stay usable for club players.

• You're starting out: the X-AURO 2026 (€79.95) is a round, beginner-friendly NOX with a forgiving sweet spot. Its sibling the X-AURA is the same idea, and both come boxed with balls, grips and a protector in our NOX starter kits.
• You want Tapia's racket for a lot less: the AT10 Genius 18K 2024 (€179.95) is the prior-season AT10 teardrop with an 18K aluminised carbon face. Year-on-year changes are mostly cosmetic, so this is the best-value route into the AT10 line.
• You want control and comfort: the ML10 Ventus Control 3K (€299.95) is Miguel Lamperti's round frame, with a soft 3K carbon face and HR3 EVA core. The most forgiving of the NOX tour frames, built for defenders and players who live at the back of the court.
• You want a stiffer all-rounder: the EA10 Ventus Hybrid 12K (€289.95) is Edu Alonso's frame. Despite the name it plays as a teardrop: 12K carbon face, full carbon frame, medium balance. A racket improving players grow into and keep for years.
• You want the current Tapia frame: the AT10 Luxury Genius 12K Alum Xtrem 2026 (€319.95) is a teardrop with a 12K aluminised carbon face and adjustable counterweights, so you can move the balance as your game changes. That makes it a racket you can grow into: set it up for control now and add pace later.

NOX padel racket FAQs

What does 12K or 18K carbon mean? It's the number of carbon filaments in each strand of the weave: 12K means 12,000. Higher numbers give a denser, stiffer face with a crisper, more direct feel. Lower numbers like 3K feel softer and are easier on the arm.

Which NOX racket does Agustín Tapia use? Tapia plays the AT10 line. The AT10 Genius 18K 2024 and the 2026 AT10 Luxury Genius 12K are both versions of his frame.

Is NOX good for beginners? Yes. The X-AURO and X-AURA are the easiest place to start. If you're playing every week and want a racket you'll grow into, the AT10 Genius 18K and ML10 are the two we'd look at first.

Is NOX right for big hitters? If you want maximum smash power, look at the diamond frames from Bullpadel or adidas. NOX suits players who want power with control.
