Every county recounted venue by venue against operators' live booking systems. Sligo and Clare have opened their first courts and now appear as open rather than coming soon; Limerick, Dublin, Cork, Laois and Westmeath court counts have all been corrected.

Padel is Booming in Ireland

Ireland has fallen hard for padel. What started with a handful of courts in Dublin is now a nationwide network: 302 open padel courts across 88 venues on the island of Ireland — 194 courts in the Republic, 108 in Northern Ireland. That works out at 3.77 open courts per 100,000 people in the Republic (CSO Census 2022). We track 140 venues in total, including those under construction or announced but not yet bookable. Monthly searches for "padel" in Ireland have grown from 200 to over 5,000 in five years, and new courts are opening every month.

Whether you're in Dublin, down in Kerry, or up in Donegal, there's almost certainly a court within driving distance. This guide covers every county with padel courts, what to expect when you arrive, and the gear you'll need to get started.

Court and venue figures are open and bookable today; anything in build or planning is called out separately. All 26 counties in the Republic of Ireland now have a county guide; in Northern Ireland, Derry is covered so far.

Leinster

Dublin — 21 venues, 61 courts. Ireland's padel capital with indoor and outdoor options from Santry to Shankill. West Wood Leopardstown will add eight indoor courts.
Kildare — 3 venues, 9 courts. PadelZone Celbridge, The K Club and Naas LTC. Arena Padel's nine-court centre at Kill is consented for 2027.
Wicklow — 3 venues, 8 courts. Shoreline Sports Park, W7 Padel and River Valley.
Wexford — 4 venues, 9 courts. Kelly's Resort, Rosslare Community Centre, Club Whitford and Active Tribe Courtown.
Louth — 3 venues, 8 courts. District 4 Padel Club (indoor), Ballymascanlon Hotel and Termonfeckin Tennis Club.
Laois — 3 venues, 6 courts. Bloom HQ, The Pavilion at Castle Durrow and Padel at Pollys, Abbeyleix.
Westmeath — 2 venues, 5 courts. Planet Padel Athlone (3 indoor) and Padel 100 at Kinnegad GAA.
Carlow — 1 venue, 2 courts. Talbot Padel Club.
Longford — 1 venue, 2 courts. Padel 100 Edgeworthstown.
Kilkenny — 1 venue, 1 court. Kilkenny County & City LTC, with Arena Padel consented for Gowran Park and a six-court Padel Hub coming at Cillin Hill.
Meath — no open courts yet. Indoor Padel Ireland is coming to Navan with 6 courts.
Offaly — no open courts yet. A Padel 100 site at Moneygall FC is reported but unconfirmed.

Munster

Limerick — 5 venues, 24 courts — the highest density in the Republic at 11.45 per 100,000. Padel LK (8 indoor, Ballysimon), Padel Tennis Ireland at Garryowen FC (8, Dooradoyle), Castle Oaks, the Radisson Blu and Adare Manor.
Cork — 3 venues, 15 courts. Padel Tennis Ireland Carrigtwohill (8), The Hive (5 indoor) and Charleville. A 16-court proposal at Ballincollig is reported but unconfirmed.
Kerry — 2 venues, 7 courts. Kerry Padel Centre (5 indoor) and Padel 100 Tralee Sports Centre. Two more consented at Listowel.
Waterford — 2 venues, 6 courts. Woodlands Hotel and Padel 100 Bohemians FC, with Park Padel at Waterpark RFC due shortly.
Clare — 1 venue, 3 courts open. Banner Padel Ennis is the county's first venue, open on a soft opening with three of its six indoor courts in play. Three more consented at Ennis Rugby Club.
Tipperary — 1 venue, 2 courts. Padel 100 Borrisoleigh GAA, with Nenagh and Cahir coming.

Connacht

Galway — 3 venues, 8 courts. Project Padel Galway (indoor), Connemara Sands and The Padel Factory Tuam.
Mayo — 1 venue, 4 courts. Project Padel Mayo in Ballina (indoor), with Westport, Ballinrobe and Castlebar all consented.
Sligo — 1 venue, 4 courts. Let's Go Padel Sligo opened in August on Finisklin Road — the county's first — with three indoor courts including a singles court, plus one outdoor. Padel 100 at the Radisson Blu is coming.
Roscommon — no open courts yet. Padel 100 at Coláiste Chiaráin Athlone would be the county's first.
Leitrim — no open courts yet. Two applications are lodged: Leitrim Gaels GAA and Dromahair Community Park.

Ulster

Donegal — 2 venues, 7 courts. Padel Park Letterkenny (4 indoor) and Padel 100 Finn Valley AC Stranorlar (3 outdoor).
Derry — 4 venues, 24 courts, including Let's Go Padel Derry (10) and Acorn Padel Club (6).
Cavan — 1 venue, 2 courts. Cavan Lawn Tennis & Padel Club.
Monaghan — 1 venue, 1 court. WePadel Monaghan, with three more coming at Monaghan United FC.

Northern Ireland holds 108 open courts across 23 venues — Antrim (34), Derry (24), Down (23), Tyrone (13), Armagh (9) and Fermanagh (5). That is 36% of the island's courts on roughly 27% of its population.
